Scheme of Examination:
The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in two tiers as indicated below: Tier-I, Tier-II. Marks scored by candidates in Computer Based Examinations, if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized by using the formula and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
Tier I Examinations:
Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension. There will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer

Tier II Examinations:
Candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, based on the marks scored in Tier-I i.e. Computer Based Examination, to appear in Tier-II Examination (Mandatory Qualifying: Candidates must qualify all sections of Paper-I to move forward). Tier-II will include conducting of Paper-I & Paper-II in separate shift(s)/ day(s).
In Tier-II, all the candidates will be required to appear in all three sections of Paper-I. However, only those candidates shortlisted for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer/ Statistical Investigator Grade-II will be required to appear in Paper-II.
Negative Marking: 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III (Paper-I). 0.50 marks deducted for each wrong answer in Paper-II.

Note 1: (i) In Paper-I of Tier-II, it will be mandatory for the candidates to qualify all the sections. (ii) Based on the aggregate performance in Section-I and Section-II of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination, candidates will be shortlisted for evaluation of Section-III of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination. The candidates who are not qualified in Section-I + Section-II will not be eligible for evaluation of Section-III and they will not be considered for further selection process. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of overall performance of candidates in Tier-II Examination only.
