Jayalalithaa of the AIADMK has the second-longest tenure, followed by the party’s founder, M. G. Ramachandran, the first actor to become an Indian CM. V. N. Janaki Ramachandran, MGR’s wife, holds the shortest tenure, serving only 23 days.
