Note: Preliminary Examination is meant to serve as a screening test only and the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the Main Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit. The Commission will draw a list of candidates to be qualified for the Main Written Examination based on the criterion of minimum qualifying marks. The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Written Examination will be 20 times the number of candidates to be recruited having regard to the rule of reservation of appointments. Certificate verification will be conducted before admission to the Main Written Examination. The Main Examination will comprise a Written Examination and an Interview. The Written Examination will have four descriptive-type papers, with Paper I serving as a qualifying paper. The candidates’ final rankings will be determined based on the total marks obtained in Paper II, Paper III, Paper IV of the Main Written Examination, and the Interview.
